Stop the Fairness Doctrine &

the New “Stealth” Fairness Doctrine

With Liberal Democrats in control of government, perhaps nothing is a greater threat to freedom than the so-called “Fairness Doctrine” which would blatantly violate the free speech rights of talk radio programs across the country.

Liberal Democrats are now also trying to push a “Stealth” Fairness Doctrine through legislation that would impose “localism” and mandate diversity in radio broadcasting through new licensing procedures that could push Conservative shows off the air.

Congressman Maurice Hinchey has championed the cause of making both the “Fairness Doctrine” and broadcasting diversity law for years.  Hinchey recently announced on CNN that he will be pushing his Media Reform legislation that includes both policies soon.
